An antique 19th century lacquered snuff box with a scene on the lid featuring a pharmacist at work behind an apothecary counter. The pharmacist is doing something to a bottle and t is a funnel on the table and other apothecary items behind him. T is writing on the table (which I'm guessing is German) along with a few lines of impossible to make out writing beneath the scene. The scene appears to be a transfer with hand painted highlights. The box is approximately 3 3/8" in diameter. The box is in very good condition showing moderate wear.
