Antique Solid 18ct Gold Old Cut Diamond & Seed Pearl Ring This ring is a beautiful antique piece. It is made out of solid 18 carat yellow gold and set with four seed pearls and an old cut diamond. The diamond measures approx. 3mm diameter whilst the seed pearls graduate down from 2.5mm to 2mm, going from the centre towards the edges of the ring. Old cut is the diamond cut that was used before the advent of modern diamond cutting techniques and involved a very skilled craftsman literally cleaving the diamond by hand. This diamond is a very fine example of the cut, being very even in appearance with sparkles cascading across the surface as it catches the light. The ring measures approx. 5mm wide at the front and graduates down to approx. 2mm, making it comfortable to wear. The ring is stamped inside as 18ct and weighs 3.1g. It is currently size M (USA size 6), which could easily be altered to a larger or smaller size by any jeweller.
