Sweet Patina early 1900s, solid brass, by the Superior Accessories Company, U.S.A. With Original Pencil & Pad. Back in the day it was intended to mount outside your door to leave messages for callers, but could now mount anywhere you wish. Hinged brass case lifts open to reveal a paper pad & pencil. Front cover, top, tab, reads HELLO, main cover reads: Rite A Note, below reads LIFT. Has a Colonial, Chippendale 'bonnet' top (like a Highboy). Measures: top to bottom: 6 & 1/4 in., left to right: 3 & 5/8 in. (top), is 3/4 in. thick. Inside, the clips hold the old pencil it came with and a message pad. It mounts easily via two screw holes in back plate. The piece has original patina but would polish up beautifully. Buy It Now or Best Offer!
