Here is a very lovely solid silver and cut glass scent/perfume bottle.
The Hallmarks are good show that this is made by Miller Bros based in Birmingham and the date the piece to 1886 (Victorian). There is a full hallmark on the neck of the lid - see all photo's for details. The piece has been made incredibly well made and is not only stunning to look at but also has a lovely secure lid twist closure which fits snugly together. The silver lid is really very pretty indeed and is decorated with a pattern of flowers. The glass is also perfect with no chips or cracks - there are a few pin head flea bites here and there but nothing to detract. The main bowl of the bottle is clear glass whilst the neck is a grassy green colour - this gives a very pleasing effect. I have left this piece un-polished as I know some people prefer to leave silver with it's original patina. Measures just over 5.5" in height and 2.5" at it's widest point. terms of sale: Items are described as accurately as possible, to the best of my knowledge and ability.
