POCKETWATCHES WITH THIS TYPE OF GILDED DIAL ARE EXTREMELY RARE TO FIND!!!! THIS BEAUTIFUL ITEM IS READY TO WEAR,ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION, OR KEEP AS A FAMILY HEIRLOOM. CASE: This is an solid SILVER three piece case. The case is in excellent condition, showing only a few light and slight hardly noticeable dings and no major wear marks. The dust cover is in excellent condition, with NO dings. It shines like a new pin. It has a few light scratches, but nothing too detrimental. The case back snaps shut very nicely, with no undue wear to any of the hinges. The case back is in beautiful condition, with beautiful cartouche, with no personalizations and some gorgeous crisp acanthus leaf and foliate engraving. It measures 4.1cms in diameter, and 1.3cms in depth, excluding the crown. The inside of the case back is fully hall marked for solid 0.935 silver. DIAL: This is an absolutely superb and lovely original dial. It is absolutely beautiful. The dial is finished in silver and is engine turned, with the most beautiful gilded ornately designed scrolled pattern edging. It has a central beautifully engraved foliate pattern to the dial center. The Roman numerals, are polished brass, and are raised. They have a lovely golden hue. The blue steel spade design hands are in excellent condition, This dial is unsigned. It has some light dirt marks, amd slight wear, which you would expect with age, but is in all round very good condition. The crystal is brand new and is in mint condition. MOVEMENT: This is an original beautiful Swiss keywound movement which is signed with the name 'Andre mathey'. The movement is a beautiful gilt 3/4 plate,with blue steel screws. This movement is in lovely condition, and has been oiled and timed. It is running well The watch winds smoothly and is key set, which works as it should, setting easily. The watch is keeping good time as tested over a 12 hour period. The original crown, and chain ring are both solid silver, and are in excellent condition. The movement is complete with its original solid silver dustcover. The watch will have a key provided, so that it can be used straight away if required. TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Payment is due 5 days from auction ending unless specified otherwise. All shipping and handling charges are to be paid by the winning bidder. I insure all of my packages shipped within the United Kingdom. I insure (at an extra cost) & register international shipments. T is NO exception.
