Lovely solid silver fusee verge pocket watch. In good working order with a strong, loud tick. Winds well and runs the full length of the chain, I wound it several hours ago and it is still going strong in all positions. The verge movement is in great condition with a diamond endstone. The balance cock is ornate. The movement has the numbers 16869The solid silver case is fully hallmarked for London 1840. Case makers mark is JW. The case also has the numbers 16869 so it is the original case for its movement. The case is in good condition for its age with only a couple of minor small dings but nothing that detracts from the watch and only to be expected with a watch of some age. All covers close tightly as they should. The engraved dial is very likely solid silver with gold numerals. The dial and the crystal are in very good condition. The case measures aprox. 46mm without the stem. I will send a key with this watch.
