I found this spinning wheel in great distress at an estate sale. It was in several broken pieces and barely recognizable to anyone not looking for a spinning wheel. I brought it home, in pieces, in a ream of paper box and asked my dad if he could help. The previous owners told me that they had it set up in their home for decoration only and an older man fell on top of it which is why it was broken. All of the pieces were t and you could easily see how it was supposed to be. So, my dad turned new legs and one new spindle and replaced one of the bottom base boards, we glued it back together and have been happily spinning with it ever since. I have not yet stained the replaced parts so you can see on the pictures which pieces have been remade.T is also a picture showing the original pieces that I will send along in the package. With these extra original pieces are some other pieces that I believe are part (or maybe all) of a distaff. I never used this and am not sure if all of it is included or not.This is not a new spinning wheel, this is a very old antique. The bobbin is held in with very old leather pieces, t is a great deal of wear and patina that shows w the wheel is held in at, it displays very much the pioneer days. I imagine it was used a lot back then! I am not a spinning wheel or an antique expert. I only wanted this wheel read more
