Your bidding on a Seth Thomas adamantine black mantel or shelf clock in very nice condition. Clock is 100% original with only exception being key for winding that will not be original but will be single ended number 6 key that is correct size. Case of clock is in very good shape, only discrepency being chip on right side top of clock (note pic). Couple of other age marks that must be expected are also present, yet overall condition is very good. Clock has lion heads on side. No columns were used on this one but instead detailed etching that is present on bottom front, all four sides of face, and area w columns or other ornamentation is present on some. This makes clock a bit different as though some may think not as nice, looks very nice and this was a bit rarer as not found on as many clocks as the other. Dial of clock is of solid brass and has been polished to it's original lustre. Label is present on bottom of clock. It is original label, no replacement, and is 100% intact. I should have included pics but forgot before listing was posted. Back bears original ST marked circular door to allow access to movement for removal of weight or fine tuning in speed adjustment. Dimensions are 16 inches long, 11 inches tall, and 5 inches deep. The movement in this clock is a very strong runner and keeps accurate time. Any antique clock will lose or gain minimal time especially when first wound or near spring running down and needing wound. Movement has been cleaned and oiled with close inspection given to bushings and none needing replaced. Clock will have a one year warranty on movement with only exception being mainsprings. To many can be damaged by over or forcefull winding for me to guarantee. In event warranty would ever be needed one must only pay for shipping to and from me, all parts and labor are free. Clock has a medium strength gong, not to loud, yet not so quiet as to barely hear. Clock chimes once on half hour then counts the hours when reached. Clock is set with chime hitting straight on half and right at hour. This is a very nice clock and would make a wonderful addition to any collection or just by itself as daily timekeeper. I will start clock at lowest acceptable price with no reserve on auction. Thanks for looking and good luck on your bids.
