The collection of 609 pieces was offered for $1,984. There are also interesting advertisements at the back of the catalog, including one for Adelaide Alsop-Robineau porcelains.
“Old China” magazine was published and edited by Samuel Robineau, who also published "Keramic Studio" and whose wife was the famous American ceramist Adelaide Alsop Robineau. Robineau enlisted the talents of two of America's leading writers in the field, Edwin Atlee Barber and Mary Churchill Ripley. Barber, who was at the Pennsylvania Museum, was the "go-to" guy on American ceramics at the time, and published many of his new finds in this magazine.
