This is a very very old wood trunk measuring 25" high at its tallest, 34" wide, and 20" deep. I don't know anything about antiques but I've done a little research and this matches with photos I've seen of pre-1900 trunks and chests. T is a great deal of wear, aging, and damage to the trunk surface, as shown in the photos. One of the leather strap handles is torn down the middle. All 4 wheels on the bottom are operable. The lid opens and will stay open - but one of the hinges holding it is loose. The metal, wood, and structure of the trunk are very solid and heavy, not rickety. Flat shipping rate to anyw in the continental U.S. - with a physical address (NO post office boxes) via FedEx Ground will be $50.00 It's hardly visable, but by penciling over the engraving with paper, you can read "Pat. Oct 2 1888" on the back of the main hinge/lock at the front lid. Again, not sure if this is for the hinge or the trunk itself, but the only location I've been able to locate a date.
