Beautifully Restored Antique Steamer Trunk Chest Coffee Table Antique trunks are one of rare beauty. We have restored over 50 of these treasures and find that each one has it's own uniqueness. A trunk is a wonderful addition to any room in the house. These are a wonderful piece to pass on to the next generation with many memories. This particular trunk has had the old canvas covering removed to expose it's natural wooden beauty. All of the wood has been refinished. This is a pine trunk with oak slats. The small cracks in the wood are caused by age and add character to the trunk. All of the old metal has been repainted. The black was painted with a semi-gloss rustoleum and the gold with a gold leaf semi-gloss. The trunk has had new leather handles put on. The hinges work great and it does come with the original lock but no key. The size of the trunk is: 18 1/2 width, 32" length, 19 1/2" heighth.
