It had a Canvas covering that was in poor condition so it was removed to expose the beautiful Bass wood That is solid and strong but lighter than most wood. The wood body is Super clean inside and out. The Hardware is reinforced. It has a Eagle Lock with a working Key to lock the trunk securely.The hasp close securely. It has 4 Oak slat on the top, 2 on front & back. The inside was stripped and sealed and a beautiful Victorian pic was added. It has new thick long lasting handles the handle loops have a built in dowel"Guides" that help keep the lid in line. Original lid stay to hold the lid open securely when lifted.The metal trim was hand painted with a satin black, All the Nails were hand painted with a metallic brass.It is Solid, Strong a well built trunk.This trunk is searching for a new home that will proudly display it in any room. SIZE: 34"Length X 20" Width X 23" Height this is a great size it is a little smaller in length and width but a little taller in height. T are so many great uses for a antique trunk. Coffee Table with storage, In front of your bed to hold your blanket, winter clothes etc.,Hold your collectibles, To fill any empty wall. T are so many great uses, the possibilities are endless.
