For your consideration is a Ca 1890 flat top steamer trunk. The trunk measures 30 1/2" wide X18" deep X 19 3/4" high. I t has been fully refinished. The original outside brown canvas covering and interior paper have been removed to show the beauty of the pine wood and hardwood slats. The wood was sanded and refinishedwith stain and multiple coats of satin sealer. All hardware is original and in excellent shape. The hinges and lid stay are strong and work properly. All hardware was cleaned and painted the dark hammer bronze color as pictured (pictures 8&9) . Included is a working lock (Eagle) with key. The leather side handles and leather straps are new as are the strap tabs. The bottom is clean, freshly painted (picture 12) and has four new feet. It has a new tray finished to match the trunk's interior. By simply adding a decorative tray or piece of glass this trunk makes an excellent coffee table or decorative table to display your other antiques (picture 10).
