ANTIQUE PINE WOOD TWO-STEP STEPSTOOL WITH WORN BLUE PAINTMade from pine wood, this nice old stool only has two steps as opposed to three on more recently made stools. It was found in an estate in Union County, Pennsylvania. It shows old and worn blue paint especially on the two steps. It measures 21" tall x 19" deep at the base x 16-1/2" wide across the top step. The top step is 5-1/2" deep, while the other is 3-1/4'' deep. Although all surfaces show wear, the step stool is tight at all joints and in good condition. Note the heavy duty thick bracing in the back (common to earlier step stools), which is bolted rather than nailed for added stability and durability.A nice early and colorful primitive step stool to use as intended or as a display piece for your antiques and primitives!THANKS FOR VISITING LANE'S COUNTRY LARK!
