I almost always have a lot of great silver listed, so please check out my other auctions~~ We have really reasonable shipping, and we ship within 24 hours of confirmed payment. This is a really beautiful fancy antique solid sterling silver serving spoon / cheese scoop, originally designed for serving soft cheeses. It would be a fun piece to have on your table, as most people have never seen one. Use your imagination, I'm sure you could come up with some present-day uses for it! The scoop has a wonderful art nouveau design front and back, extending down onto the back of the curved-side bowl. It is engraved "W" on the front of the handle. It is about 5-3/4" long. It is very pretty, solid and well-made. It is in good condition with some light scratching from normal use and handling. It is marked "Sterling" with a kind of sea serpent hallmark that I believe may be Curtis, a company that was out of business by about 1915. It weighs about 24.9 grams or .88 ounce of solid sterling silver on my digital point scale. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ANY QUESTIONS!
