This Auction is for Assorted pieces of Flatware from my mother-in-laws Estate. She has been gone for over 15 years now, and I have much of the silver left. I have decided to let these pieces go as through the years, some have "dissapeared" during and after Dinner Parties and I no longer had full sets. These have a very strong sentimental Value for me because they are from the Family, and not purchased randomly from an unknown Estate. T hey are not Scrap! I am keeping many other pieces as some are from the Cival War and were from my mother-in-laws Mother and Grandmother, those I cannot part with. Some of these pieces are late 1800's, but most are early 1900's, as they are mixed and matched. The Butter Knives are old, but in Brand New PerfectCondition, as they were each individually wrapped in orginal packing. They are gorgeous, and I am offering an extra 2 as a gift to the winner of this Auction. I have not had any of the other pieces cleaned as I wished to leave them in their antique condition. If you were to buy these pieces individually on Ebay, piece at a time, you would be paying anyw from 25.00 to 40.00 per piece, give or take a few dollars. It is also hard to find matched pieces as well, from one estate. These are beautiful pieces of Art, as well as being servicable pieces of Genuine Silverware. You didn't have to be born with a Silver spoon in your mouth to afford this parcel. Description: 18 Pieces of Assorted Flatware 3 Ornate Matched Forks - Stamped Sterling w 3 Other Hallmarks I do not recognize 10 Ornate Petite Matched Butter Knives - Stamped Reed & Barton - Stamped - Mirrorstele - Stamped - Sterling Handle 2 Magnificent Grapefruit Spoons - Each Initialled "N" in Script - Hallmark Rogers AA with what appear to be 2 Anchor Stamps on Each Side 2 Teaspoons - I believe Late 1800's - Stamped Sterling 1 Cheese Grator - Stamped Sterling Handle I really find it hard to put a price tag on these items as they have such personal value to me. I unfortunately have no one to pass them on to that would care for them, for the reasons I do. As these are all that I can part with, I hope that they are purchased from someone who cares about the memories and value of people and things that are considered "Antique."
