Up for auction is one of the nicest pieces of sterling silver I've ever come across. This late 1800's piece is finely hand crafted and in perfect condition. It is a sterling silver with red glass eyes figural bird shaker. It weighs a solid 4 ounces and measures 7" long and 3 1/2" tall. It is marked "sterling" on the underside of the tail. No chips or cracks to the eyes. No damage at all. Please see below for the provenance of these pieces. This piece came from the estate of Margaret Edith Pillsbury Sorbello. Her father was H.D. Pillsbury an attorney, Harvard graduate, and also the founder of Pacific Bell Telephone Company. Her mother, Elizabeth Taylor Pillsbury, was the daughter of Charles Taylor a Union Civil War General and publisher of the Boston Globe. A Taylor ran the B oston globe for 125 years. I purchased this piece at an estate sale for Mrs. Pillsbury-Sorbello. This was from her Las Vegas home. I ACCEPT PAYPAL ONLY AND PAYMENT IS DUE WITHIN 2 DAYS OF THE CLOSE OF THE AUCTION.
