This is a nice old set of FAIRFAX, from Gorham, who bought out Durgin, the original maker of this pattern. What is unusual, is that these are not monogramed. Most Fairfax is mono'd. T are pieces, 6 Knives measuring 8 & 1/2" 7 Forks measuring 7 & 1/8" 6 Soup Spoons measuring 6 & 1/4" 6 Salad Forks measuring 6" 1 Salad fork measuring 6 &1/2" 6 Tea spoons measuring 5 & 3/4" 5 Flat solid butter spreaders measuring 5 & !/2" The set is nice and ready to use, and no all bent up or damaged. the knives are not pitted or bent. This is a very collectilbe pattern, and to have all these extras is super nice! I know GOLD is high, and prices seem crazy, but just think back to when it was $450 an ounce and you stopped yourself from buying because you thought gold was too high, THEN! You could be kicking yourself, when gold gets to over $1000!! If you have been looking for one of these, this is being offered at a low starting price. If you read my feedbacks, you will see that I don't embellish my descriptions, and most buyers find the items better than described. Sometimes the pictures don't really do justice to jewelry items, but I try to always tell the truth about my items, that I list.
