A fine sterling silver 19th century Russian Enamel Erotic snuff Box of oval form. The lid has a double banding over a hand engraved field with a round raised enamel center cartouche depicting Mark Anthony & Cleopatra sitting in an intimate and erotic moment and hinged over a plain field bottom enclosed with a double banded border. Work masters mark "F.R." (translated from Cyrillic) Signed twice along with the Russian & Silver (84) hallmarks and the town mark of the city of Tula. Hand chiseled and hammered, completely hand made. Measures 3" x 2.25" wide. Very nice condition with no damage noted to the enamel or the box, shuts tight.
