This is the same Item I had listed earlier. I ended that auction and relisted it because I discovered after the fact that it is sterling. I just didn't know w to look before This is a lovely antique Vesta or Match box with great patina. 2 3/4" long. I originally listed it as not marked but thanks to a wonderful ebayer out t who asked me to look and told me w to look IT IS STERLING. Marked on the inside lip w the lid closes. Also when looking under a magnifying glass I see some number on the other side looks like a 255 maybe. This maybe is a pattern number. I am not sure. I will keep cleaning it up and update the listing if t is anything new. This came in a lot of other silver items that were very old. One dates back to before 1866 and I was told this came from the same person. I don't know the age of this but it was very tarnished and I cleaned it up to reveal such a beautiful piece. Opens and closes perfectly and is is absolutely perfect condition. This is very figural with lots of detail.
