Offered for bid is the nifty little sterling whiskey jigger. It measures 1" x 4". This Art Deco piece was made by Napier and is called "Wet Your Whistle" - indicative of the late 30's and early 40's. That little ditty is engraved down the side (see pic #2). It is, in fact, a whistle as well. My husband can made it whistle - I can't. On the other side - t are ounces engraved: 1 oz and 1 1/2 oz. Its weight is 1.36 ozt. Tarnish has gatd and t's definite wear around the bottom of it. It needs a hardy polish. In looking around the internet - only one other has come to light. This might be considered a rather unique little item? Thanks for looking in.

Provenience: Mother said if she ever heard my Father whistle for her for cocktails - she would go the other way. This item is listed in Mother's wedding gift registry. She's a Hartford,Conn gal and this more than likely came from either Steven's or Green. At 92 , Mother says she really doesn't need a jigger anymore- who's measuring?
