Up for auction is a 15 1/4" by 2" Antique Stone Grinding/Sharpening Wheel. This wheel has no cracks and is smooth with no grooves around the entire grinding edge which probably means very little use. When it was shipped to me it arrived with some small chips on the edges that can be dressed and that does not detract from the overall appearance of the wheel. This wheel probably came off a pedal type grinder. Incised on the side of the stone is an X and Z or possibly 43. (see picture) I cannot tell what the etching is exactly. The axle (see picture) has the attachment for the pedal wire and is 21" long. The axle has been removed for shipping. The axle, metal plates and bolts will be shipped seperately so assembly will be required when recieved. This wheel is in very good condition. Shipping will be by UPS due to weight.
