Antique Stone Mortar & Pestle From Hook's Drugstore

This is a marvelous antique stone mortar & pestle. The mortar is 11 1/2" wide and 6 1/4" tall and is in great condition with chipping on the spout, see photo. The mortar is marked on the underside with an anchor inside of an oval and says "Made In The USA, Thos. Maddock's Sons Co., Trenton, N.J." and also is embossed with the #6. The stone bowl is quite heavy weighing in at over 20 pounds. The pestle is 12 1/4" long and is in great condition with no nicks or chips. The pestle has a stone bottom and a wood handle and is simply embossed with a #6. I have other vintage pharmacy items for auction this week and I would be glad to combine shipping. These items came from a Hook's Drug Store and Pharmaceutical auction and most are from the early 1900's. This wonderful antique stone mortar & pestle would make a terrific addition to any collection.
