Hi, this antique stoneware crock comes straight from an old estate. The previous owner had family roots in both NE and SE Ohio, and also West Virginia. This 3 gallon crock stands 13 1/2 inches tall, and has an outer rim to outer rim diameter on top of 7 inches. It appears the widest part of the body is 8 inches diameter. It is heavily decorated in cobalt blue colors with the number 3, and what appears to be florals and leaves? Tulip on the bottom left? Arrowhead to the right? The handles are applied. The blue coloring is full and wonderful. Also, lots of dark brown and dark gray spots of various sizes, which the owner told me to note in the description. Sorry, I am not a collector, so I am not sure what else to write. I note the following flaws: a 1 cm by 0.5 cm shallow chip on the front decorative rim (it is located about one inch above and then one inch to the right of the number 3 - see photo); two areas of discoloration on the bottom on either side (can be seen well in the photos); an almost unnoticeable shallow chip on the beginning of the curve of the handle (if looking at the front of the crock, it would be the handle to the left, and it would the curve of the handle closest to the back of the crock)(this particular chip is so well-blended that I did not notice it until my third examination of the crock); and hairline cracks read more
