This is a very nice piece of Canada / Quebec history. This brown crock / jar is marked "E L Farrar, St. Johns CE" which means St. Johns, Canada East which I believe is now known as Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec. This dates the piece back to the mid 1800's. It also has the number 1 marked on it. It is approximately 8-1/2" high and 24-1/2" around. It is in good condition for it's age. T are some chips around the rim, on the inside and outside bottom but none that go right through. T are no cracks that I can see. A very displayable solid piece of history to add to your collection! Please email with any questions. Please email for shipping charges. Since I live near the US/Canada border shipping within either country is not a problem. Payment by Paypal or money order only and must be received within 10 business days of close of auction. If possible I will combine shipping on multiple items. Residents in Ontario, Canada are required to pay 8% PST on the winning bid. I try to describe my items as accurately as possible but because they are not new all my items are sold in "as is condition". PLEASE NOTE: I do not use eBay checkout service - I will send the winning bidder an invoice at close of auction. Thanks for looking!
