Unmarked antique stoneware jug with partial cork...2 gallon cobalt blue bird slip decorated. Very rough to base, see pics. This is most likely New York origin, possibly New York Stoneware Company or Ottman Brothers, both from Fort Edward, New York, t were quite a few New York state makers, the buyer will know by the style of the bird.
The top part, as seen in photos, does have some darkening. Small chip under bird as seen in photo #2. Small chip to handle, and some minor chips to very top of jug/opening as photos do show. No cracks....just age that can be seen w the darkening is.
Cool addition to the primitive stoneware collection or to the country kitchen, great for the collector of antique New York stoneware.

Measures:::stands a little over 14" tall, belly measures 29" around and has a base of 8 1/2" across. This piece has the smallest handle of all 3 jugs listed and is the lightest colour of all 3 pieces of stoneware.
