This antique stoneware whiskey bottle/jug another of a collection I am offering in the next week . All are in just about perfect condition, all part of one man's collection and all are pretty unique. This stoneware whiskey bottle/jug once held " MINNEHAHA " whiskey the front also has the name of what I believe to be the distiller " Martindale & Johnston Philadelphia" . The bottle stands about 7 1/2 inches to the rim. The front brown transfer is my favorite of all the bottles in the collection. It shows two birds taking a bath ,a drink of water or maybe just looking at their reflections in a small pond. The detail is amazing. T are no defects in this antique American stoneware bottle, no chips, cracks or repairs. A fine addition to any stoneware or country collection.
