This auction is for a fantastic antique straight razor. This is a great razor. I believe the handle is celluloid, or a slightly newer plastic, and it has a very nice blend of brown and black color resembing wood grain. The handle also has strap bolsters which are probably made of nickel silver. This razor was made by Genco. Genco straight razors were part of the companies of W. R. Case. In 1936 W. R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co. purchased Geneva Cutlery Co. and manufactured razors under the Genco name. The blade is marked Genco, Old Dutch, Geneva, N.Y. U.S.A. It is part of a collection of razors I just purchased at an Estate auction. It is in good condition; t are no breaks, chips, etc. in the handle, no repairs. The blade itself is also good with no chips or breaks. The blade does have some scratching and some minor discoloration or wear. T is some traces of rust on the top edge of the blade. I believe that this would be an excellent addition to a collection. I am not an expert so please email with questions and to request any additional photos. I will need an email address to send them to. Be sure to add me to your favorites list ! Check out my other items !Sign up for PayPal ; the fast, easy, and secure way to pay online.
