Antique Style Victorian Edwardian Aqua Glass Opals Ring Antique Style Victorian Edwardian Deco Filigree Vintage fabulous X-tra BIG aquamarine glass and aqua glass fire opals "statement" ring---I created this exquisite lovely to match the earrings, necklace and bracelet that I also have listed....a beautiful suite! (Aquamarine is the March birthstone, so this and/or the other pieces would make a wonderful gift) Part of my most popular jewelry line, all handmade from my studio---these are wonderfully wearable and showcase some of my finest vintage stones and findings.....I've always loved the 1939 movie "The Women" starring Norma Shearer, in which she wore the most mouthwatering, huge, octagon-cut aquamarine ring--very visible on her hand in several scenes...so this was also inspired by her fabulous jewels & the gorgeous pieces worn by other goddesses of Hollywood in the 30's! I designed and put together this beautiful and elaborate Victorian/Edwardian/Deco style ring using mostly antique components (including some utterly fabulous vintage genuine old brass findings!) and hand finished/burnished brass parts & filigree. As a long-time antique clothing and jewelry collector, I'm inspired to create antique/vintage-style jewelry that has the superb old elements and rare vintage glass stones I have gathered over the years....All of the pieces I do are individually handmade and incorporate as many of the antique elements as possible, plus durable yet authentic brass fittings that I have hand finished with that "aged" look. This exquisite ring is fashioned from vintage very substantial burnished rich solid brass parts patterned with intricate antique designs and multi-layered, with a huge oblong octagon cut vintage unfoiled glass aquamarine stone in the center, set in a beautiful vintage filigree setting, and surrounded with gorgeous vintage little pearshaped aqua fire opal oval stones, as well as small aquamarine rhinestones set in brass settings gathered at top and bottom---So glowing and fabulous in the sunlight! All vintage stones; and the little fire opals are especially wonderfully colored & realistic looking.....As shown this ring is adjustable from about a size 7 up to about a 9.5....this can be done by simple stretching of the back to fit the individual finger. If you need a size 10-13 just let me know when purchasing, and I will add extra brass filigree to this to make it fit that size range more comfortably. Because this is such a massive ring, I wouldn't recommend it for a ring size less than 6.... Since it's so very imposing and reaches past the knuckle on most hands, this would be great worn on the middle or first finger....FABULOUS vintage glass stones....All centered on fine layered detailed brass filigree which has such a wonderfully and truly antique look to it. Measures 1 -3/4" from top to bottom at the frontspiece. The stones & findings are all wonderfully unique & vintage, and come from my ever-growing stock of fine antique and vintage beauties---am always searching for gorgeous old elements to recreate that fabulous old antique look....Very comfortable & substantial on, and I always "test run" my jewelry to make sure it's very durable and sturdy....this one is a great addition to any vintage and antique lover's costume jewelry collection!
