One of the elegant glassmaking companies of the late 1800s, early 1900s manufactured these lovely candlesticks --during the Art Nouveau period. They have a soft violet hue to them know as "Sun Purple" as the light reacts to the manganese used in the glass manufacturing process dating from 1860-1915. Manganese glows yellow under a black light as shown in the second photo. The candlesticks measure 7-1/4" tall, are four sided and have stylized flowers and leaves cut into all sides. The glass has wonderful clarity. The candlesticks are in excellent condition -- no chips, cracks or fleabites. The only thing to mention is that where the center of the cut flower meets the edge, there is a rough spot from the pattern overlapping to the adjacent side. A lovely set to add to your collection.
