We are pleased to have been consigned to sell this Antique 'Superb' Tobacco Cutter This item dates from the early 1900's It is solid caste iron with a steel blade and assembled with steel pins and steel screws. It is 18 inches long and weighs 8 pounds. It's painted in black enamel with red lines. T are scrolling designs caste on the front, and the base says "Superb". Condition is excellent. T is wear from handling and use over many years but it is heavy and solid with no missing or damaged parts, and still fully functional. The top steel pin has been replaced with a modern bolt. This item comes from a private collection of 8 tobacco cutters, all of which we have been asked to sell. 2 have been sold, and we are offering the rest in separate auctions over the next 3 weeks.
