This is a Wonderful and Hard to find FIGURAL SWAN Brandy Warmer and Cigar Lighter!This item was recently purchased from an estate! We are not Brandy Drinkers , so I didn't have a Brandy Snifter to Display on this.....so I took a photo of it with just a champagne Glass to give you some idea of how the Swan Holds The Glass To warm your Brandy....the glass is not included in this auction. This Swan is Silverplated and it measures about 5 1/4" tall from the base to the tip of the Swan's wing....The base measures about 2 7/8" x 5 1/8" or so.The slot w the glass base rests measures about 4mm Inside width. T is a cap and wick in the center of the back of the swan...see images..the cap comes off and is attached to the swan with a chain...see images..., when you remove the part that holds the wick , you can fill this item with fluid....see images. In the days when this piece was produced the Gentlemen would retire to the study after dinner and use this lovely item to warm the Brandy and light their Cigars.... This item is Signed with a hallmark (containing the letters EL) and the word SPAIN on the bottom...see images This item is in Very good vintage condition! T is some wear to the silverplating, most visible on the highlights of the wings...please see images...I can locate no areas of missing metal, and only very minor dings/imperfections on the metal...no large dents or objectionable areas...see images....T is a bit of extra solder on the front side of the Swans left wing...see images...I am not sure if this is from the time of manufactoring, or an old repair...the wing feels very stable... This Lighter/warmer really is in good shape, with only minor signs of age and use,....please see images.....I love the Very Elegant Form of this Piece!
