You are viewing an exquisite pair of early Black Forest Carvings. These little gems date back to the 1880âe(tm)s. These vintage Swiss treen beauties are done in a dark & decadent walnut. This Brienz school treasure sports cuts that are sharp, deep, and many. The texture yields dramatic play with light and shadow. This decorative arts furniture accessory showcases a spectacular acanthus leaf as the focal point at the crown. The figure of the leaves sport a modest concave curl that mimics foliage bracing against a breeze of wind. The stretchers are done in the manner of organic branches.
