Short sword with triangular blade, of European origin, probably English. No visible rust. Condition: good. Some darkening on blade. Hallmark "Wo" on forte. Hilt: cut steel with chain knuckle guard, pas d'ane arches, cruciform quillons, single counterguard shell, geometrically ovoid pommel. Motif of steel dome surrounded by "beads". Blade length approximately 33.5". Overall length approximately 40". Estimated date 1780-1800, based on Aylward's book. (Please note: the above information was provided to me by the previous owner. I am no weapons expert and cannot guaranty the information, except to say that the sword is beautiful and seems to be in intact and in good condition considering its age.)
