Up for auction is an antique table and 6 chairs. Looks like it should be in a castle-- Gothic in appearance. Not sure of the type of wood or any of the details (age or origin) as I myself purchased it from Ebay less than a year ago with the intent of refinishing it. Not enough time and the cost of storage alone is becoming more expensive than the cost of the table. As the table and chairs are old, they will require refinishing. I have begun by removing the old fabric from some of the chairs. This alone took some time as the original nails were tiny and numerous. The chairs all appear to be sturdy as far as support. T are a few areas of chipped wood, but nothing that could not be filled. T are 4 chairs without arm rests and 2 chairs with armrests. The table sits on two large pedestals but they are not currently attached which allows for easy transport. The table top is not considerably heavy. I am not sure if the chairs originally went with the table but the auction price alone would cover what you could get for the chairs alone if refinished. T are areas w the wood has chipped (some corners) and will require filler. Some of the decorative pieces on the chair backs are slightly loose (if you use force). I do not believe that t is not anything that is not repairable by someone who is knowledgeable. I am not an expert in this area at all-- I don't sell antiques, appraise them nor refinish them. If you have any questions, please ask but be forewarned that I may not have the answer that you need. The table and chairs will need to be picked up. It is located in the Atlanta, GA area. I do believe that this would be worth at least a thousand dollars, if not more if table and chairs refinished with new seats and backs for the chairs. PICK UP ONLY! I WILL NOT SHIP! As I work a regular job most days of the week and the furniture is in storage, I will work with you the best my schedule allows :) THIS FURNITURE WILL REQUIRE SOME WORK-- DON'T BID IF YOU EXPECT THIS TO BE READY FOR USE...Measurements are as follows: Table length 6ft x 3ft 4" Height approx 2ft 5.5" Table trim thicknes 3.5" Chair with armrests-- width armrest to armrest 23.5" Chair seat width 17.5"; 20" deep Chair back height (to decorative piece) 51" Table pedestal height 27" Please let me state that the table top is the piece most in need of work. Small wood chips missing (mostly corners) but also on end of table.
