Antique TAPESTRY Drapes or Upholstery Fabric more than 50 years old. I bought these drapes at an antique auction almost 40 years ago, they were old at that time. I had them professionally cleaned and hung them for a short time. They are a very tightly woven heavy Tapestry in shades of olive green and tan with a small amount of charcoal grey. The pattern features trees with flower shaped leaves. The pattern repeat is 26.5" lengthwise and 12.5" horizontally. The condition is very good with no holes or stains but they do have minor fading from the sun close to the edges. Included in this auction are a pair of drapes 24" wide by 88" long, a single panel 36" wide by 88" long (one pair was put together to make a larger single panel), scalloped valance 90" wide, and three tie backs 22" long. The drapes are lined with off-white cotton than has some minor staining and wear. I do not know the fiber content but I suspect it is cotton, it is not a synthic. If you want the fabric for upholstery with the pleats removed you would have two panels 42" wide by 88" long and two panels (with the seam removed) 36" wide by 88" long. The fabric is very thick and heavy and would work better for upholstery than it does for drapes. This fabric would work real well on period dining room chairs. Payment is due within five days of close of auction, by PalPay only. No reserve.
