Antique Western Electric F1 Telephone w Ringer Box Don't be shy about making an offer ! If it's a rerasonable offer it is rare we decline . T are times when we can't be too flexible , but most times we give all offers serious consideration . If it's an auction item and you don't want to wait it out email us with a price you're willing to pay and if we agree we'll add a buy it now option .This is a real oldie and it has me perplexed because any Western electric F1 phone I've had in has had a rotary dial . This phone has no dial and doesn't look like it ever did . The handset is marked Bell Systems Western Electric F-1 . Update 4/10/09: We just got an email from a person who actually identified this for us. (Thank you!) This is a 302 manual desk set with a magneto ringer subset. The body of the phone is not metal , I'd guess it's a bakelite body but can't swear to it . I don't do the "pin" test on anything that is likely bakelite because it can leave a mark that devalues the piece you're trying to identify . Inside the paper center (covered with the plastic disc) it has the number 195 in pencil . It has a very old cord and looks like someone tried to wire it for use . The handset has had a contemporary jack plug placed on the end , in an apparent attempt to use the handset with any phone . Also included is the very heavy ringer box
