This one was excavated. It is truly antique. It looks like copper bronze and was likely gold plated at one time. Sukhothai standing Buddha...a real classic. This one has an interesting history as it was inside of a store that got robbed. All of the Buddhas came back to the original owner the very next day, however the non-Buddha items did not come back. This Buddha`s case a couple of cracks at the base that occured duing the robbery-although the image is immaculate, but some people say that this only means that power came out of the amulet itself and as the Buddha came back it is a "proven" amulet. This one is truly an ancient icon...encased in real silver case and it has words on the back.

Handmade by Buddhist monks in temples and consecrated for a favored parishoner for a temple donation, placed into a newer, but still antiqe real silver case in order to protect this sacred image. Temple relics are often consecrated for a specific outcome. They will not be relisted as the owner wants them all back if they do not sell. Antique-not new; and worth more than the starting price. I am selling it for a friend who is liquidating a large old collection over the course of the next couple of weeks. This is a serious and authentic museum quality Buddhist good luck amulet...
