ANTIQUE, AUTHENTIC AND USED VERY FINE *** WOODEN BUDDHIST TANTRIC BLOCKPRINT *** from North Nepal or Tibet. These Blockprints have been used by the Buddhist Influenced Population of North Nepal and Tibet to produce tantric paper amulets, prayer flags, ritual textiles, in some cases for book illustration. This item consists of hard wood and depicts a horse with the buddhist jewel symbol, surrounded by Tibetan Letters and different other buddhist symbols . The other side shows a carved double vajra. It shows a great smooth aged and darkened patina. Condition: perfect condition, no damage, wonderful dark patina, good signs of age and use. Age: around mid 20th century. Size: Length 20.1 cm.
