This is a spectacular example of quality Tiffany Sterling Silver. It is almost 3 pounds of Antique Sterling Silver! This classically designed tray consists of a footed bottom tray with 'reservoirs' to hold water and an inner tray, upon which steamed vegetables are placed. The inner tray has filigree cut-outs for the water to drain and two small handles for easy removal. The trays both have gently curving sides, and floral relief detailing along the edges, handles and feet. This piece is stunningly beautiful! Details: Make: Tiffany & Company Pattern: 13372 Estimated Manufacture Date: 1904-1907 Overall Weight: 2 lbs, 14.5 oz, (1320g) Markings: Tiffany & Co 13372 MAKERS 1915 Sterling Silver C 3 T also numbers and initials etched by the stamps: 66-3718 ax x169 14/90 Dimensions: Bottom Tray Maximum Length12 5/8 inches x Width 9 1/2 inches (from widest edges of floral design on corners) Minimum Length 11 3/4 inches x Width 8 3/4 inches (measured from center edges on all sides) Inner Tray Length 10 3/8 inches x Width 7 1/2 inches Overall Max height 2 1/2 inches Overall both trays are in excellent condition. Both are straight with no dents. We only gave this lovely piece a light polish with a polishing cloth. We did not polish the bottom as seen in the photos. T are some light surface scratches, mostly w the two metal pieces rub, but no signs of repeated wear. T is one tarnish spot on the top surface of the bottom tray. It may come out with proper polishing, it is approx 4mm x 6mm. We can see it, but it isn't a deep pit--we can't feel it with our fingers. This item has been in the care of only one family. The exact age is unknown, but it estimated to be approx 100 years old based on our research of the markings.
