Really great partial set , consisting of 12 teaspoons and 8 additional serving and place pieces. Why this assortment eludes me; almost as if t was a plan. I don't know the exact date that these were made, but I think it's an older set. Each piece is marked as such: TIFFANY & CO. STERLING PAT. 1885. M. Please see the pictures to see actual mark. T are NO MONOGRAMS. Included in this grouping are: 12 teaspoons, 5 7/8 inches. 1 fork, 6 7/8 inches. 1 salad fork, 6 3/4 inches. 1 gumbo/cream soup spoon, 6 3/4 inches. 1 knife/french/hollow/stainless, 9 1/4 inches. 1 butter knife/flat 5 3/4 inches. 1 meat serving fork, 8 3/4 inches. 1 serving spoon, 8 1/2 inches. 1 serving or casserole spoon/large, 9 inches. The group weighs 1138 grams without the knife, or 36.60 ounces troy. The large serving spoon itself weighs 4.33 ounces troy. Feels heavy and substantial in the hand, and is a popular pattern. Condition is good overall, pretty bright and glossy, but with the expected surface scratches and a couple of dings as to be expected for a heavy, old set such as this. The small fork has some bent tines, (see photo) but other than that these look pretty good to me. This "set" is fresh out of an estate in the area. Please look carefully at the pictures, they tell the story. I have NO hopes of getting any more from that estate. Please see my other Tiffany set from the same family up for sale this week as well!
