's a very rare opportunity...a five-piece early 20th Century Tiffany Studios Desk Set with an Arts & Crafts motif. Presented as found from a local Kansas City estate. The set consists of an inkwell with original glass ink holder, pen tray, ink blotter, letter opener, and calendar holder. This set has its original patina from the Tiffany Studios with a mottled finish in brass or bronze...we are unsure as to the exact metal, but the coloration tends toward a golden brass. The inkwell measures about 9" in circumference and 2 1/4" in height; pen tray, 6" X 2 3/8"; ink blotter 4 5/16" X 2"; letter opener 8 1/4" x 1" at base; and calendar holder, 3 1/2" X 3". We have not touched the pieces either to clean or polish...we leave that to the discretion of the buyer. The inkwell appears slightly lighter in color (someone may have attempted to polish it at some point) and shows more surface wear than the rest of the set, but is still within acceptable limits for all pieces to blend together. Please view details of pictures for slight imperfections on back of ink blotter and back of calendar holder. The letter opener is clearly marked "Tiffany Studios New York" just next to the thumbrest on the back side and the calendar holder bears the numbers "2221" on its back near the base. No markings were apparent on the other three pieces, but it is clear they are original pieces of the set. It is rare that Tiffany Studios Arts & Crafts items surface...add this beautiful set to your antique desktop! Offered with NO RESERVE.
