Up for auction today is an antique Tiger Maple Cradle (Crib?). This Cradle was made in the late 1800s, between 1880 and 1900 according to the owner, and is handcrafted, but with no date to confirm the age. It has been veiwed by antique appraisers and sellers, and the buy it now price is the low appraised value from a professional I have dealt with before on other antiques. It does feature tongue and groove construction, no evidence of power tools being used, decent fit and finish, normal wear from use and age, including scuffs on bottom, and the curve almost worn flat. An attic keepsake that the owner can't take with her as she moves, this cradle may be the perfect addition to your primitives and or tiger maple collection. A shipping container 40 x 24 x 29 would be needed to ship this cradle, and so shipping will be calculated after the sale, as I will have a professional packing job done, the cradle does measure 14" across, the base for rocking measures 29", height is 24" at the headboard, and length is 39 1/2". Feel free to ask any questions, I will offer free pick up if you wish to come get it and negate shipping costs due to size, check out my other auctions and store, thank you for looking, good luck bidding, and have a great day!
