We love these old desks when they've got leaded glass doors, as this one does. The doors are done in a combination of clear and textured glass, a classic diamond shape, and they're marvelous. The desk is supported on gorgeous plump legs, all original, top to toe. The luscious interior is pigeonholed for convenience, with a roomy desk top and a fine leather-topped writing surface. Moving back outside, we can scope out the front of this grand little desk to find exceptional wooden hardware and stunning oak grain. Great dovetails are a mark of quality on the drawers, which slide smoothly and without a hitch. It is, of course, the towering bookcase above, covered with those grand leaded glass doors, which gives this piece its tremendous appeal. You can keep your books dust-free, display a collection to good effect, store all home office necessities within easy reach, as you wish.
