ANTIQUE TOKEN / FARE BOX TROLLEY BUS CABLE CAR RAILROAD

Up for auction is a Main Fare Box manufactured by the Euclid Products Co of Ohio. They are still in business and make a newer model very smiliar to this, but they couldn't tell me when this model was stopped. These were used on cable cars, trolleys, and buses. Tokens, or cash, was dropped in the top onto a plate w the driver could see it. Then by pushing the lever your fare fell into the lock box-- which I don't have a key for. T is a light in the lid, so your fare could be seen at night, that works on 12 volt. I got this box from a hockey player, with a big ego, whose girlfriend made him take it off his bed. That is the only history I know. The mounting bracket needs new screws and t is some surface rust and other signs of age. This thing is very heavy. If shipping is more, I will eat it. If it is less, I will give you a break. Thanks for stopping by.
