I can say I've never seen a piece like this before - though I kind of dislike when people use the term "rare" - I think this actually is. Made of wood this miniature "dressing screen" measures 13.75"h x 14.5"w when opened flat. The middle panel is 6.25"w and each side panel measures 4"w. The three panels are hinged on the back side and someone at some point attached a picture hanging wire around the screws that secure the hinges (this would look great hung on the wall). The front of the screen is beautifully painted - with a gold border on each panel, gorgeous floral bouquets, birds, and in the middle a lake scene with a tree, grasses and a sailboat on a serene lake. Some normal minor scuffing and paint loss around the edges, appropriate for a piece this age. Each of the panels is a solid piece of wood with an additional raised edge border - which measures 1/2" in thickness. Please contact me with any questions.
