For your consideration is this vintage antique TOLEDO 2-Pound Candy Scale. This was used in the May Company Candy Department. When the store in downtown Cleveland closed it's doors forever, my father-in-law bought this and has had it in his garage for years. The scale can be read in ounces on one side and also calculate the cost. On the the opposite side, the customer could see how many pounds and ounces was being weighed. (see photos) The level is built into the base. This collectable is 100% complete and is very accurate. Original weigh pan is included. Overall in excellent condition. The only flaw are two small paint scrapes at the bottom left side (see photo #5) It is a TOLEDO SCALE - Division of Reliance Electric Co. I don't know the exact year. Detail stamped on the metal plate is the following: Model 3111 - Serial #339470 - Fact No 3111-03 - Cap. 2 lb. It weighs over 21 pounds, is approximately 19" tall by 17" wide (with the weigh pan in place) The glass is clean and free from flaws of any kind. The numbers underneath the glass are vibrant and clear. On the back of the scale is a "Department of Weights & Measures" inspection seal which says "INSPECTED & SEALED" 1982, Matthew Hatchadorian, Cuyahoga County Auditor.
