Up for auction is a McCormick Deering sickle bar blade sharpener-Circa 1900. I have put a lot of time into this one to bring it back to its original look, just like you would have seen it new 100 years ago. It's all original. The only parts that were replaced are the cotter pins and washers. The stone has been trued and line up perfectly with the bar off of a #12 McCormick horse-drawn mower. T are no breaks or gear teeth missing. The handle is in good condition. I have also included a copy of my original parts manual to this grinder. The grinder rests on a cedar stand that I made just for display purposes. The winning bidder will have the option to include this in with the deal at no extra cost. This item will be packed very well. US Postal Service only, no UPS. I wouldn't ship a bale of hay with these guys. I will gladly answers any questions you may have. I'm in my shop every evening from 7-10pm and if you wish to speak with me I will give you my cell phone number. I don't rip off on shipping and t are no packing fees. If the shipping I guess at is off you will be reimbursed. I have no reserve on this so everybody will have a fair chance. This would be a nice Christmas present for the McCormick Deering collector.
