An antique top wind pocket watch in a solid silver case. In great working order, the 7 jewel movement keeps good time. Cosmetically the case is in good condition for a 95 years young pocket watch. The case has minor surface scratching and two very minor dinks, which are hard to photograph, in the back case. Inside the case back is stamped a lion, the letter 't' and an anchor. These say it is silver and was made in Birmingham in 1918. Also stamped in the back are the initials A.L.D. the mark for a reputed watch case maker 'Aaron Lufkin Dennison' who started making watch cases in in Birmingham 1874. The case is stamped with the serial number :- 335399 The white enamel dial has suffered a chip at around 8 'o'clock and a hairline around the 4-5 'o'clock mark. It has an overall diameter of 2", excluding winder.
