This is a very lovely antique soveriegn case/purse. I think the inlay might be gold all I can say is that the rest is "yellow metal" really not sure what it is but looks lovely anyway . The inside expands to accomodate a number of coins but it needs a little bit of attention to bring it right back. The real tortoise shell outer has a very small chip to one corner but that is only to be expected for something this old and this delicate. Please understand this is seriously high quality stuff. It measures width 65mm. depth 35mm ht 15mm. The clasp works well but the whole purse would benefit from a good clean and polish.
